Apples apples apples...

Three days ago I bought approx. 20 apples and this morning I realized - just few of them are left! I could never be bored with its taste - always more tastier than a previous one..

I never understood why my mum loves apples so much. I remember while I was still living at home with my family they were everywhere and every time. Apple trees are like a royal family in our garden.. so many species with the taste, shape, color differences. I don´t really know why, but our apples were the most tastier comparing with any other existing apples in the world. The look was also perfect  - always wonderful and shiny. Not too sweet and not too sour - just perfect. Grown in ecological way, without any pesticides or other additional stuff. We were making apple juice, apple jams, compotes from them and conserving it for winter. Further more, we were keeping fresh apple fruits, so anytime in any season we could have fresh apples at home. Never liked them that much, and probably because I could get them so easily. But when I went abroad this fruit became the favorite fruit ever. Even though it seemed to be so expensive(before I never paid for an apple)! In Denmark one apple costs 2.5DKK, so for 1euro I could buy just 2 and a bit apple. :) And this is the unite price!
Last year at the end of the summer I had a chance to be at home.. I was laying on a grass in our garden, under the apple tree and thinking... Oh, that so much money on this tree.. :)

Does it taste good is individual opinion and understanding, but...

Why apple is sooo good?

- The natural mouth freshener
- Low in calories
- Full of fiber (prevents arteriosclerosis and heart disease (because it doesn't allow cholesterol buildup in the blood vessel walls)
- Consists of many vitamins and minerals (Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Calcium, Folate, Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium)
- Protects against cancer
- Stimulates digestion and normalizes it
- Boosts the immune system and helps to maintain stable blood sugar levels

So its definitely worth to eat this beauty!

Have a nice apple day!
